Plano West Lacrosse
Registration has opened for the youth program for the Spring 2012 season!  Due to the
unprecedented growth of players within our program, we expect youth teams to fill up quickly
at all levels.  To ensure that your son has a spot on the spring roster, we ask that you sign-up
early.  Visit the
Registration page to register.

As has been communicated in the past, one of the main ideas behind developing the Plano
West Lacrosse youth program was to maximize the developmental opportunities for future
players of the Plano West High School Lacrosse team.  With the anticipation of teams filling
up, we need to begin to prioritize how we fill rosters to ensure the long term success of our
organization.  From the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) eligibility
requirements, students who attend Plano West, Jasper, or Shepton, or students who attend
private school and live with the Plano West Senior High School boundaries are eligible to
play for the Plano West High School program.  In addition, the youth league, NTYLL, is
moving in a similar direction and may require waivers for those players in grades 3-8 to play
for a team other than their community lacrosse program.

The number of teams will be determined based on how many coaches are available for
each level (e.g. K/1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8).  Team size will be determined by the coach, or
coaches, at various levels (e.g. K/1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8).

Youth teams will be filled using the following procedure:

For those that register between Nov. 1 and Nov. 26th
  1) Youth players who meet the THSLL eligibility requirements, i.e. plan to attend West,
Jasper, or Shepton, or reside within the Plano West Senior High School Boundaries will be
placed on a team roster provided there is room.
 2) Youth players not meeting the eligibility requirements will be placed on a waiting list until
Nov. 27th.

* Exceptions made for siblings of players grandfathered into our HS program and coach's
sons.

On Nov. 27th, if space is available, players on a waiting list will be placed on a roster based
on seniority, or the number of seasons having played with Plano West Lacrosse Club, with
the most recent season taking precedent.

Anyone that is not placed on a team will have their registration refunded in full.

If roster space is still available after Nov. 27th, it will be on first come first serve basis.
